Ina Garten is well-known American cook book writer and Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and has aired up to 2020 in 27 seasons. Ina began working for the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy and also the budget. While she initially found the work intellectually stimulating and exciting but she quickly became bored. Barefoot Contessa was then purchased. The store was very successful for 18 years before she decided to let it go. She then began the first book. There were many more cookbooks, and magazines columnists that followed. Meanwhile her Food Network television show too began its run and was a hit. The range of products includes kitchen equipment to ingredients and storage containers. Ina, who is self-taught, has never studied at the culinary institute or at the hotel. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining as well as her simple culinary style is widely known.
