Pickler born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986. She had a difficult childhood. As a toddler, her mother retreated from her abusive marriage. In 1995, she returned back to the world of Pickler, and took custody. This did not go well. So when she was 12 the judge returned Pickler to her grandparents who took care of her until she reached adulthood. Pickler was too occupied being a mom in the absence of her parents. Pickler said she didn't have time for learning, she was forced learning how to cook and wash at a young age. Pickler took part in cheerleading activities at both her high and middle schools.
