Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist for The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of girls from the 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and rebellious lyrics got them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The group did not have much of a following in their home country of the United States. However, their popularity grew overseas and especially in Japan. Ford's solo metal career proved successful following the split of the band. After taking voice classes, Ford launched her first self-titled album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin in the Edge". Ford vanished for some decades from the world of music as the two albums failed to get any attention. The singer returned in 1988 with her wildly successful album 'Lita, which debuted in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her most popular hit songs. Sadly, her fame was only temporary and she was absent from the world of music for many years. Her release of Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. The year 2016 brought the release of her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Her name was given The Certified Guitar Legend Award by Guitar Player Magazine.
